We are supporting a leading global multi-billion dollar investment management firm in the search for a mid-level Fund Accountant to join their New York office .
This role sits in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment , working closely with internal teams, external service providers and stakeholders across multiple time zones. It offers broad exposure across fund accounting, fund operations and investor reporting , with a particular focus on hedge fund structures .
The position will take ownership of reviewing NAVs , fund allocations , investor activity and fund expenses , while also overseeing key work produced by third-party administrators . There is a strong technical element to the role, particularly around management and performance fees , partnership and investor allocations , financial reporting and the interpretation of fund documentation.
The successful individual will also be involved in reviewing annual financial statements , coordinating with auditors and administrators , supporting due diligence requests, and contributing to management reporting . Alongside the day-to-day, there is an opportunity to help improve processes, controls and overall efficiency across the function.
We are particularly interested in candidates with 5–8 years’ experience in fund accounting , with strong hedge fund experience and the ability to operate confidently in a dynamic environment.
This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented , technically strong , organised and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment.
